Dance Gaming USA - Up and Running!
Posted by Ninja N8 | August 10, 2009 4:28 PM

Dance Gaming USA, the company designed to promote this site and dance gaming as a whole, has launched it's website - DanceGamingUSA.com.

The site is designed to promote sale of dance game related products and sponsors tournaments!  It's meant to compliment this site and it's format as well as other sites with complimentary interests, such as R21Freak.com and Stepmania.com.

If you have a tournament you would like sponsorship for, just email me or message me here on Beatspace and I will see what money I can throw your way.  MWOK's Second Tourney was the first of many tournaments I hope to sponsor!

Posted by Eric | May 14, 2009 1:46 PM

Positive Gaming just announced details on their  Positive Gaming Machine Dance European and World Championships 2009 event.

"People can expect several new aspects for this year's event; items such as a brand new and exciting tournament system, called "King of the Hill" and a recently updated event facility that is four times bigger than what was used in 2008.

In addition to the multiple "In The Groove 2" arcade machines that will be used for tournament play, a 16-player Positive Gaming iDANCE Multiplayer system will be featured and will be available for use by players and spectators."

More details can be found on the Event page.

Pulling some things together...
Posted by Ninja N8 | March 22, 2009 9:36 PM

Hello everyone!

I wanted to extend an invitation to everyone to contribute to a little project that I am working on that will help our community grow and bring together all the interesting material and information that is out there involving dance gaming.

The project is a sort of landing zone for all things "dance gaming".  I took into consideration what one of our members said about making a twitter feed, and I wanted to go one step further...

Dance Gaming @ Net Vibes

What I am looking for:

Awesome Video

  • Freestyle
  • Tutorials
  • Tournaments

Quality Content

  • Blogs / News Feeds
  • Websites
  • Organizations

I am still learning how to use Net Vibes, so please be patient with me.  I have a few videos up related to iDance, some news feeds [like the news feed for Beatspace.net], some web links, and a few tutorials.

I would like to add as much content that I can find that relates to our mutual interest.  If you have anything you think would be a great fit for this, please email me the link and a short description:

beatspacemarketing@gmail.com

Keep on stompin'~

Beatspace Products

Hello Everybody!

I got to work on making some beatspace gear.  I figure this would be a cool way to rally some support while getting our community some visibility.  The clothing comes in multiple colors - you will see it when you select an item you want to view - just double click it and you can choose what color you want it to be.

To The Beatspace Community
Posted by Ninja N8 | February 6, 2009 12:35 AM

Hi Guys!

It looks like we are about to reach 500 members - which is great news!

In order to keep our community growing, it is up to everyone to contribute.  Here are a few ways we can keep the site growing:

1.  Banners:

If you use a signature in a forum, or post anywhere, be sure to attach the beatspace logo or a link to beatspace.net in your signature so that others can find us.

ddr, dance dance revolution, itg, in the groove

Feel free to use this banner - I hosted it on Photobucket.  If you would like to use a different banner, just let us know.

2.  Host mid-level tournaments:

Back before Extreme came out, "Standard" level tournaments (usually between 4 to 7 feet) were pretty common.  I think it is time to revisit the standard level tournament so that the home players will come out to the arcades and play.  Remember that you can post events here right in Beatspace, so please take advantage of this feature!

If you need any assistance in putting together a tournament or need ideas, please feel to message me.  I will be more than happy to talk with you.

3.  Post in the forums:

Find something you would like to talk about in the forums and share it with us!

4.  Give Suggestions:

If there is a feature you would like to see on Beatspace.net or just something you would like to see added, deleted, or changed - just let us know.  There's even a place for posting suggestions in the forums.

See you on the forums!
